wiper motor on an old renault extra van?
The windscreen wiper motor on my old Renault Extra van has stopped working. its a 1989 1.6 Deisel, Im having a job finding a replacement. This old van just keeps going and going and is very economical to run so wont be getting rid of her for a small part, but can now only drive her about on dry days 
. Im not that good with mechanics so my next question may seem stupid but can you put a wiper motor from a similar model in? say a renault van but a newer model? surely it is just a question of ampage from the battery to the motor and securing it to the under glove box? Any help appreciated Thank you.
here is a repair manual (double check that i found the correct one, also pepboy’s sells them )
it will give you a step by step instructions on how to replace every part in the car.
plus tools need, how-to, diagrams, ect
see if any local junk yards has the same car in their lot, then see if the part number is interchangeable between models. (you may be able to use newer models or similar years, given the design hasn’t changed,)
So basically buy the book, get the tools, then either bribe someone to do it for you with beer (most guys will volunteer with a manual and beer), or do it yourself.
