SAD Light Therapy – An Extremely Powerful Method To Treat SAD Using Sun Light
In ancient times, light or specially sunlight combined with medicinal herbs was used to cure many skin diseases. This practice was popular in countries like India and China. As time passed by, people realized the uncountable benefits of sun light and thus, light therapy or photo-therapy was born.
Light therapy mainly consists of exposure to sun light or to a certain wavelength of light using various light emitting devices like lasers, light emitting diodes (LED) or full spectrum light. The time duration for which the light is emitted is normally controlled and is for a specific duration of time.
Currently, photo-therapy is usually used to cure many skin diseases like acne, tanning and pigmentation.
