Is a size extra small in womens’ clothes close to a size extra large in girls’ clothes?
I wear a size XS in womens’ clothing, but I was wondering if I’d be able to fit a size XL (16) in girls’ clothing. I’m asking because I like Polo Ralph Lauren, but they’re really expensive & they’re girls’ clothes are like half the price of the adult sized stuff. Don’t laugh at me. =/
I forgot to add, I mostly shop ONLINE – so there is no fitting room. 
(That was kinda the point of me asking…)
Women’s sizing is completely different than girls’ sizing. It’s not a matter of big or small, but rather the way it is cut. Young girls usually have completely different body types than full grown women do. However, if you have a more up-and-down body, then you can probably easily pull it off with girls’ sized clothing.
Don’t worry; it’s not a laughable question. I’ve seen plenty of questions about size equivalents between women’s, girls’, and juniors sizing.
