what is wrong with my snowmobile?

I have a 1969 scorpion snowmobile, one of the pistons blow. We changed the piston and put the engine back together carefully. Any answers or ideas on how to fix it. Or what is wrong with it.

What is the problem with the sled?? Does it have spark?? It wont fire at all; or not stay running??

With a sled that old, the crank seals dry out and the crankcase can cause an air leak. Also, the carburetor boot may be cracked allowing yet another air leak.

Make sure the carburetor jets and airways are not plugged. Use fresh fuel mixed with the proper amount of oil. Be sure to use a new sparkplug.
