burton sabbath vs. salomon dialogue?

I’ve got a pair of Burton Sabbaths that I got for $250 and a pair of Salomon Dialogues which I got for $150. Both feel pretty good fit-wise so I’m wondering if, besides style and appearance, the Burtons are worth the extra $100.

anyone have experience with either?

Also, how’s an Option Franchise board for all mountain riding? I’m not a park junkie but usually do a few park runs a day. Most of my riding isn’t park though. Can get an unused ’08 Franchise for $250, good deal?

unless they fit much better and are more comfortable, then I wouldn’t pay an extra $100 for boots. I have been riding Salomon F20s for the past 2 seasons, and I think Salomon makes great boots. Personally, Burton’s boots don’t fit me very well, but everyone’s foot is different.

Burton is easily the biggest name on the block, and they make some good stuff, but it’s false that their stuff is head and shoulders above everyone else’s. They are just one of several companies making very good equipment. But you pay more because it’s Burton.

I can’t vouch for the franchise, but $250 for a new deck is a good price.
