I have a 96 chrysler t&c van very bad vibration on accelleration only between 40 and 55 mph.?
tires and their balance good, ball joints, tie rod ends good, rack good as well as struts. as soon as the throttle is let up vibration is gone, it shakes the front end of the van just as though there was a half pound of extra wheel weights on the wheel, rotated tires with no difference the engine mounts seem ok don’t look sagged out or loose, axles are tight (c/v joints) wheel bearings good, not too much stumps me, but this is going to be the first. thanks to all who reply!! The most simple answer is the right one!!!!!!!!!!!!! Every time someone brings a car to me with the same problem you are describing, it is a bad, or out of align tire. Most of the time there is a tire that has a flat spot or knot. Physically feel all of your tires for flat spots or knots, then have them balanced, it is very inexpensive.
