and im not sure which ice skate brand to choose i live in australia my closest ice skating rink is ice-world if that helps i want purple ice skates
Yes, I agree, purple ice skates would look a bit tacky. Besides, you can’t even get purple ice skates (unless they’re crap plastic ones or you have them custom made), and most figure skates are white, black (mens) or beige. You can get purple boot covers though, if you really want purple skates. They should sell boot covers at your rink’s shop. For skates, I think you should start out hiring skates until you’re sure you want to do ice skating. Then, when and if you do decide to buy your own skates, I would recommend Jackson mystique, classique or artiste, riedell 133TS or 255TS, or Risport etoile.
I live in Australia too! And for some reason skates in australia are like ultra expensive compared to other countries. So I would recommend going to a shop and trying on some skates, so you know which size you need (or just get your foot measured) and then order online. Even with the extra shipping cost, it will come out SO much cheaper! My jackson skates were $550 in Australia, but I got mine new from Canada for $350 with shipping!
