how can you reduce stretch marks whilst they are still pink/purple?

how can you reduce stretch marks whilst they are still pink/purple?
i know that their is a way that is you catch them early enough, they with become less noticeable or if not gone
please help!
i hate mine,
they are on the back of my hips and inner thighs,
they are ugly and horrible and their is no way i will ever wear shorts if they still look like that!
i know i sound a **** saying that but it is true!
