Are there any any cosmetic differences between polarized and non polarized oakley fire iridium lenses?

I love the look of fire iridium lenses and i’m considering buying it as a replacement lens for my goggles (snowboarding). The fire iridium polarized lenses are CONSIDERABLY more expensive than the non polarized ones. I’m aware of the obvious benefits of polarized lenses (no glare, sharper vision, blah, blah, blah, etc.) but i’m really in it for the bad *** look of the mirrored lens. Do the non polarized fire iridium lenses look the same as the polarized ones? If not, how do their appearances differ.

There is absolutely no cosmetic difference.

Please note that Oakley color AND clarity matches each lens. Iridium coatings come out with different color shading. So as part of the same batch you can get lenses that are more green than orrange or more red than orange, etc.

Oakley takes these lenses and color matches from differen batches so you get consistent colors (in the coatings) from both lenses.

Again, there’s no color difference between polarized vs. non-polarized lenses. Oakley polarized lenses cost so much more (when you compare the polar vs non-polar from other manuf.) becuase Oakley’s polarization method is different and more expensive. Most companies use the “sandwhich” method where they place the polarization filter between two halves of the lens and glue the lens together. This creates a great deal of distortion.

Oakley uses a patented process (no other manuf. does this) that integrates the polarization filter into the lens so the lens is actually produced as 1 whole piece and not 3 pieces glued together. This creates an optically superior (lens light refraction/distortion) than other brands.
