Are Jackson Ultima Artiste ice skates good?
If not why…
They’re good for beginners to introductory freestyle skaters.
The boot is sturdy but not too stiff. Since it’s leather, the boot can be punched out or stretched.
The blade’s okay, but if you can already skate, ask about upgrading it to an Ultima Mark IV.
The only disadvantage is that it has a PVC sole. Some pro shops won’t do blade adjustments or replacements because they can’t securely “plug” the holes.
This skate is NOT heat-moldable, so you have to break it in the old-fashioned way: lots of back crossovers and dips.
