Inexpensive Decorations For Holiday Weddings

I adore how quickly you can dress up a table just by filling a clear vase with beautiful ornaments or other decor. If you have even the smallest inclination to make crafts for your wedding, this is a great project to take on. Hit the home stores to find shimmery Christmas balls in your wedding colors to put in the vases. Set a boxwood wreath around the base of the vessel, and you will have a stunning and elegant centerpiece. Pinecones would be a great filler for a more rustic reception. Fill out the rest of the table with votive candles tucked into a bed of pine boughs. How fantastic that you can make your wedding look so good while spending so little time and money. Dress up the vases with a festive tartan bow.
Another terrific piece of holiday wedding news is that anything Art Deco inspired is in high style this year. Embrace this delightful wedding trend by dressing up your reception with lots of feathers. Large plumes of white feathers can be arranged in very tall vases to create a snowy centerpiece with that coveted Deco flair. Use icy cool colors in the rest of the room to play up the 1920s feeling. Icy shades of blue and pewter will be perfect wedding colors.
Speaking of snow and winter, another terrific idea for decorating your wedding is to use frosted branches. Round up branches from the ground and set them into pots. Clouds of faux snow drifting onto the branches will give them a wonderful wintery look. You can decorate your wintery branches in many ways. Hang little lanterns from them to add romance and shimmer to a dark December evening. Or add gorgeous fabric flowers to each branch. You can achieve a wonderful look by hanging baubles and beads from the branches. Simply elegant.
A quick and easy Christmas centerpiece idea is to get a bunch of seasonal potted plants like poinsettias, tiny pine trees, or amaryllis. Use the white poinsettias to give your tables a distinctly bridal look. Either set the plastic planters into painted gold pots or wrap them up with fabric to finish them off. You can use intricate white paper snowflakes for charming decorations on the tiny trees. They will give a nod to the season, but your wedding reception will not look like a Christmas party.
Nothing could be easier than finding pretty seasonal ornaments to use at your winter wedding. It is easy to gather up a beautiful collection on a low budget and turn those things into stunning seasonal centerpieces. Then after your reception, the decor can be re-used in your house.
