One more look at Indiana-Kentucky (indystar)
I finally got to sit down and watch the replay tonight of Indiana and Kentucky
from my tape of the game. We’ve gone over all the positive things to come out
of the game. If you need more I would refer you to my blog from Saturday night
where I tried to put things into perspective in terms of what that win would
mean for Indiana moving forward. Here’s a link to that blog if you missed it.
But let’s take a closer look at things and areas where Indiana needs to
improve: 1. Get the ball into Zeller: Yes, it was a common theme that was made
even bigger because Dick Vitale chose to say it just about every time IU got
the ball in the second half. And it was a glaring concern. Think about this.
Zeller dunks it with 13:24 to play to put Indiana up 50-43. Not only was that
his final points of the game but it was also his final shot. For Indiana to be
successful moving forward, Zeller needs to be involved. He needs to touch the
basketball on most trips down the floor. And …
